Habesha Kemis Atlanta
Metro Atlanta's Ethiopian community has grown quickly, with Clarkston — one of the most diverse small towns in America — a well-known resettlement hub. Derbaba brings that community habesha kemis and traditional clothing directly from sellers in Addis Ababa: browse, message a seller on WhatsApp or Telegram, and order.
Each piece is made to order — roughly one to four weeks in Addis Ababa — then shipped to the USA, priced in USD, bought directly from the weaver or atelier. Custom sizing, tibeb borders, tilet panels and hand-embroidered Coptic cross motifs are available on request.
