The agreement between Derbaba, buyers, and sellers
By creating an account or publishing a listing you agree to the responsibilities and policies outlined below.
Using Derbaba
Derbaba is a discovery and messaging platform. Buyers contact sellers directly to arrange payment, pickup, or shipping. We do not act as a merchant of record for goods sold through the platform.
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into binding contracts to create a seller account or publish listings.
You are responsible for safeguarding your Better Auth credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Listings and payments
A $5 CAD listing fee is charged via Stripe when you publish a listing. Fees become non-refundable 24 hours after payment is captured.
Sellers must ensure that product titles, descriptions, photos, pricing, and availability reflect the actual item for sale. Misleading or incomplete listings may be removed.
Counterfeit goods, plagiarized designs, offensive or hateful content, and items that violate local laws are not permitted on Derbaba.
Derbaba does not facilitate or guarantee buyer payments. Any payment arrangements, shipping logistics, or customs duties are handled directly between buyers and sellers.
Responsibilities and disputes
Respond promptly to buyer inquiries, deliver items as described, and follow through on agreed timelines. Sellers are solely responsible for fulfilling their orders and complying with applicable laws.
Buyers should verify listing details, confirm measurements, and arrange safe payment with the seller. Any disputes must be resolved between the buyer and seller.
Derbaba is not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers and is not liable for product quality, delivery, payment issues, or disagreements. We may offer guidance but do not provide refunds on behalf of sellers.
Account moderation
We review listings for quality and compliance. We may edit formatting or request clarifications to maintain a consistent marketplace experience.
We may pause or terminate accounts that violate these terms, publish prohibited content, or engage in fraudulent behaviour. We will attempt to give notice, but may act without notice where immediate action is required to protect the community.
Contact support@derbaba.com within 14 days if you believe your account was removed in error. Provide context and any supporting evidence.
Legal details
We may update these terms as the marketplace evolves. We will notify registered users via email and update the “Last updated” date below. Continued use of Derbaba after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
